Needle/Clip Question
#1
I went back to the stock needle from a Dyno Jet Needle and am at second from the top. If I go to the third I absolutely can't wheelie. When I go back to the second everything seems fine. Does moving the clip make that drastic a change? Has anyone else had problems with the Dyno Jet Needle?

stock needle original position was 4th groove, so you're needle position is way leaner than you were stock now. when I ran stock carb I moved to the dynojet needle and me and most others liked it much better. it sounds like you may be rich on the main, or perhaps a float issue, but then again maybe its the nature of your beast and altitude.

It take alot of testing to get your quad stock carb spot on. YOu probably won't get it right the first time. So here is a few suggestions. Get a note pad and record settings and needle and jets positions and note the performance. Be wise to record the temperature. This way you don't have to rely on memory to find out which setup was the best. This helps me a lot hope it helps you.

Thanks Hightower. My floats were way off. I just made the top of the floats level with the gasket surface. I went back to the Dyno Jet needle 2nd clip down. There is no hesitation like before and I can wheelie in 3rd gear. Thanks a lot for your help.
