everyone knows that High Torque takes all the advertising money they get and then buy the best weed they can find before they do their shoot outs. This is how a quad can win the most categories and average the highest placing yet still loose the shoot out based on some drug induced rationalization.

The only reason that you see so many Rappys and Z-400/KFX is because the average "Joe" wants a reverse on their machine. The Bomb would most likely be the best or close to the best selling machine in the sports category if the had a reverse on the DS650. Kawasaki realized this with the new 700 and they are selling like mad. Next you will see a manual KFX700 with a semi-auto or fully manual clutch, I guarantee it. Now if The Bomb would come with a reverse the rappys, Z-400/KFX, 400ex etc would have to come up with something pretty special to compete. Let's see if the new 450 Yamaha has a reverse it should be interesting.

the 450 Yammie is meant to race I'm almost positive there is no reverse.
I don't know if you'll see a manual tranny on the v-force that would cost r&d dollars. They bumped it up to 700cc's, took out the front diff, changed the frame a little and gave it different plastic and tires. I don't think they had to spend a lot of money to do come up with that but to design a manual tranny would take some design time/money. For that matter they could have done that to begin with and made it chain drive and saved more weight. My best friend has a vforce and a cannibal and he says he didn't like the vforce at first but he loves it now. I can't get to like it. It's totally different from everything I've ridden and all the instincts I've built up. The new YZF450 is more of what I'm looking for but to each is own I'm not saying either is better just a matter of preference.
