Default I feel stupid for asking but...........

I have a stock 2000 DS650 that I want to go with open air box or slip on K&N air filter, I need to know what jet to run here in Dallas, Texas. I have a modded end cap & a after market CDI, that I want to install but waiting to get a tach. I just don't want to over rev. Please any help is need & any suggestion.
I just bought this thing a couple months ago & just starting to mod.
Thanks

Country dont know what jet you will need. Hard to tell, because every ds reacts differently to mods. Do a search on jetting. I believe there is a site that was set up for everyone to list mods and jetting at different altittudes. Maybe someone can post the link for you.

jetjock1, no I haven't made it out there yet. I have heard very good things about kermit. I have yet to make it to any dunes. I ride at Shiloh ridge in Alto, TX & Rocky Ridge & Red River thats about it as of now. I've heard alot about little S.H. in Olk. & also Aledo in Fort Worth that I'm going to next weekend.
Thanks alot!
Joe

Country, no prob. I'm still new to this game also. Bring your bike to Aledo, I'm sure there are enough of us DS guys that would be willing to help you get it lined out. Remeber when jetting the ds the stock brass screws are to weak to be removed with a normal screwdriver. They strip way to easy. Get you a set of vise grips and clamp down hard and then unscrew. Take the stock screws to a parts store and get you some allen head screws.

1BigDSRider,

I know must of the time on other forums you will get the smart a$$ comment about what I don't know which I already know that.
Thanks again for all the help, thats not always easy for everyone to do!
