Thanks, but are you talking about that big spring that go's horizontaly (sp??) in to the carb, from the top? cos when i was rejeting the quad i forgot it out ones, and i didnt notice, it rode the same.....

Are you guys talking about the approx. 4 inch long spring that seats against the bottom of the diaphram lid & sits on top of the plastic slide? Why does this trick work, how does it improve response?

 

It is the spring under the gold colored cap on the top of the carb. When you cut the spring it lets the vacumm operated slide open quicker.

 

The only down side is that rapptor guys don't like it [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I can't believe it, I have a 195 Dynojet and my plug is still white. Thinking of trying a 200, Any thoughts? I used the stage 3 info for set up.

These mods sound great for all out dragging, but what about when you want to go back to just trail riding? I was told the spring cut trick will make the throttle close later or not as quickly & that it's not a good idea for all around riding???? anyone know?
