Default Jetting Help

It is the one under the big cap on the top of the carb. It's like 4"or 5", I cut four coils and am going to cut two more off. I heard it's the magic #

So cut the coils and dont re-stretch the spring? Wont this end up letting the slide rise at idle causing a lean condition?

It just lets it come up faster. The jets control your lean and rich condition.

The needle kicks in around 1/8 throttle to 3/4 throttle.... the main controls 3/8 throttle and up.

So you got the top of the carb off right now? I just rejetted today and i believe mine just slid out. I think i had to push on the pointy part and it came out.. hold your hand over the opposite side or else your spring and other stuff will fly out.

If you look on the topside of where the needle is the seems to be a plastic cover...that just slides out?

Youre talking about the piece that the big spring goes in, it also has that rubber collar (take that thing off too, it just gets in the way when changing the needle)on the top too? Mine slid right out, and when i changed the needle it slid right back in. I never had to unscrew anything, so im thinking that i just pulled it out gently.

On the jet kit...is it safe to assume that the thick plastic washer under needle clip gets used on new kit?
