Wow, the dyno #'s seem kind of low for lightly modded DS's. I thought a STOCK DS was around 42 horse?? Why are slightly modded DS's running as low or lower than that? What am I missing?

Pushin...this dyno tends to give more realistic dyno numbers than most others. Most people think they are low because of the engine builders "claiming" certain numbers.

I see somewhat but why is it claimed Raptors and DS's have 38-42 horse in stock form? I just find it a little disatisfying to hear that DS's with a pipe, jet kit, CDI, and K&N filter are running close to 40 when I'm always told this should be just under 50? I guess it's just me but I feel these dyno #'s are pretty low COMPARED to what I am TOLD by everyone what should be a close HP #.

Pushin, Like everyone said the DA effects the horsepower numbers. With a lower DA we might have seen alittle higher numbers but I think it wouldnt have made that much of a difference, Maybe one to two horsepower at most. I was happy with dynoing 40. I would have like mid 40's. The dynos are the best way to tune bikes. Dont believe engine builders claims.

When I get mine back together going to try and dyno again with a few changes.

I was a little dissapointed with the numbers. HP47.5 and torque 37.5 I thought it would be higher.my curve did climb and never fell off. It also showed to be jetted correctly. I have stage two on Alky. I was satisfied with the way it ran. I held my own

The comment about not believing engine builders claims is subjective......I received EXACTLY what I was told!

Did any other kinds of four strokes dyno...(ex. Z400, Pred) and did any stock bikes dyno that were either a Bom or Raptor?? If so, what were they putting out?? Thanks...
