One word of advice if i may. Do what I did and go ride one and then the others. You need to feel the difference for yourself. Dont take our word for it. YOU DESIDE

I am the original owner of a 2000 ds w/ a RWR stage 1 kit. It has 3 years of Mexico beach/dune riding, desert trails, the Cinders, mountain trails and 39 trips to Glamis. This all equals at least 1000 hrs.

The only failure is the chain roller within the first 10 hours and the left upper ball joint last month. I still have the original chain, battery, fan, wheel berings, brakes ect. ect. The DS is an awsome quad!!!
(now everything will probably take a $h1t)

Oooops I forgot, I changed the headlight after the DS decided to ride me and I replaced the rear berings last month but I kept the old one's for spare's, their like new.

Truly an incredable machine. They all have there good and bad points so you should take every opertunity to ride them all and then make a decision for yourself.

DS is godly, but could use a slight diet.

My brother-in-law has had a rappy for about 2 years now, he rode my 03 DS a couple of months ago for the first time. His comment was, "it's like the difference between driving a caddy and a chevy malibu". Keep in mind this was about the ride, not the power. The DS is the most stable, most comfortable ride out there bar none. Like every one says, it could use a diet. But even if it never went down in weight, I would still buy it again.
