Default Question about 300' Drags?

on a sand track he would only be a 6 second bike.

the only way to beat those bikes would be in they red light.

Default Question about 300' Drags?

My Cannondale is an all out drag machine sponsored by cdaleparts.com. I beat banshees as big as 500cc and many 250Rs,as big as 370s. So i believe it could be one of the fastest dales out there anywhere. I mostly run in the low 4s in 300 ft. Irace every weekend, and thats the only riding mine sees, so its obviously very tight. thats a big time difference.

I dont even have a scanner...lol. i am not a computer kid. im just aperson that has the net and uses it for one reason...YOU GUYS! But i ll give some pics to my sponsor, Maz over at cannondaler. Maybe he will post em. FYI: the dales lowest finish in the open class this year at several tracks here in western pa is 3rd...mostly we have around 70 machines all banshees or 250Rs....FAR FAR from stock we are talkin $10,000 engines....and the dale is faster than all of them with the stock piston!! lol.....but it does have some very nice headwork, and it only gets ridden if there is a drag. its perfect.

My motor is nothing more than a Cannondale. Its an early 01 with all the goods. The piston is stock but it has extensive valve and head work. All the work was done by my dad and a guy we know doing head work on mazdas and subura WRXs. I run a stock swingarm with 18'' tires i dont need a big arm because it turns so many rpms that its spins like a banshee off the line. nobody down here runs big swingarms. We have the rpms that we dont need too. i honestly believe this is one of the fastest true 440 cannondales out there. everyone i race with agrees. its remarkable.

These were his posts, I have read many posts on here and this seemed awful fast for a stock bore 440 cdale.

COOL

You guys heard it here. He has the fastest Canondale. Why would he lie to us? I know of some HUGE HP quads that don't get into the HIGH 4's, so I guess, I would be proud of that bike of yours.

Default Question about 300' Drags?

I call BS.

Ask him what size injectors he's running. Stock injectors won't do much better than mid to low 5's on dirt - maybe (I know, I have one, so does Dune Devil)... Low fours and we're talking VERY serious horsepower. Cannondales run good, but no where near that good, low 4's and we're talking well over double what a stock Cannondale puts out.

A good running C-Dale with head work will get into the low 5's consistantly. Maybe that's where he's confused.

Wonder what speed he's running since he's in the low 4's - I bet about 55mph (which, by the way, would put him in the low to mid 5's)

Default Question about 300' Drags?

The fastest 4-stroke i've ever saw ran a 4.96 @ 62 mph on a dirt 300' track. It was a 686 Raptor with web cam, head porting, dual 39mm Keihins, +3 swingarm, slammed with a wheelie bar.

That was even a fluke though, front wheels had to jump lights because reaction time was .320, and 60' was 1.60s. So he actually ran about a 5.10. I'd still take it!!!

Reason for that is there are NO built DSs around here........YET!!

Mayde some day you guys can show me how its done!!

Default Question about 300' Drags?

ETs don't take RT into account - so that run & time was legit despite his redlight.

I'd hope that Raptor would run better than 5.1 -- my fairly mild 400EX best runs are around 5.3 - 5.4 ETs in the 300'
