pushin, r u sure? i think i used a couple coats of car paint n clear coated it n its holdin up great

 

Well whatever your using must be better then this engine paint I'm using....... The paint has wrinkle spots where it is drooping because of the heat..... I have to redo it, but I want to get a different pipe guard because mine cracked and I had to weld mine up. I can't get the weld beads grinded smooth enough to look nice, SO..... I will take one of those pipe guards from someone. Thanks.

 

So if I want to paint it, I have to use car paint and clearcoat?!?.

I don't have the equipment to do that...and I know car paint and clear coat aint cheap...

Pushin, what color did you use on yours, and how did you apply it?? (How did it look before it faded away?!?)

well i know have a connection with a guy who has a body shop, so i got a good deal on the paint,
i can't remember how much i paid for it now

did you spraypaint, brush, spraygun, roller (lol) ?!?!

 

primer and spray paint. The spray paint was high temp paint. First I put a coat or two of primer then about 8 coats of paint LOL!!

 

Okay...My heat shield completely broke off around both bolts and It was sitting on the midpipe...I took it off and now it looks funny with 2 bolts sticking out...


I repeat my last question...Does anyone have a yellow heat shield for me?!? PM me for more info.


I doesnt have to be yellow, just lemme know if you have one in good condition.
