Has anyone found .019 rims for the DS. I talked to RM ATV and they said that the only rims out are .016. The dealer has stock .019 rims but they are 100 each! I am planing on 20X10X10 8 paddle haulers with .016 douglas rims. Any suggestions?

I had almost that exact same setup, 20x10x10 9 paddle haulers .016 rims, and with that setup I almost had too much traction. I could not get the tires to spin at all, even if I threw my weight and tried to slide. It took alot of getting used to considering the fact that I could get my tires to stick before. I think that the 8 paddle tires would be about perfect. With the .016 rims be sure to bring tools to pound it back in shape, you'll need them. The rims themselves are pretty tough, it's the torque of the bike that you have to worry about.

I have tried ordering from places like Chapparel and Rocky Mountain ATV and such, but they are all out of rims and most of the tires. I am trying to get Scat Track II's, but I tried for any of the v-paddles, no luck. They said that they will be out for a month.

The Red label wheels are not going to be out for another month or two according to Rocky Mountain. I will probably wait, since Rocky Mountain isn't charging anything extra, just because they are for the DS, besides the extra charge that they normally have for Heavy Duty Wheels.

Good luck,

I also have run into the same problem. I placed a order in April and will get my rims and tires in a few days. I hope that the .016 rims hold up. they will only be used in the dunes so I took a chance with them. RM ATV is the only place that i found that even has rims. I guess thats what we get for having the best and badest bikes out there!!!! good luck!! Let me know if you find .019 rims I'll do the same.

WOW! That is even longer than I had to wait. What kind of rims are they (.016 or .019). I had to wait 3 weeks and that was a long time. Where did you order them from? I should get mine today. I know where i'm going this weekend! later
