Everybody check thier OIL TANK screen on thier next oil change!!!

This would do great justice in the Yamaha forum as well...the tranny and one way gear leave a lot of metal that gets stoped by this screen...If it became plugged Kaboooom!! Or if those flake manage to pass the continue to cause damage

Bigger, this is exactly how i blew my bottom end on my original 720, that is why it is a 763 now!!!i have mentioned something about this in the past... i looked at this new 720 and barely caught it in time, it was almost clogged and i think an engine re-build enhances the debri to clog res filter amoung other things, such as the re-useage of oil filters ect.GREAT POST, it will save peoples motors

I truly believe this is the cause of my blown rod bearing also!
When I checked the screen after Tony told me about it, it was almost completely clogged.
I yanked the damn thing off. I'll just make sure I change my oil more often, if I ever get the engine back and/or don't sell it.
