what paddles to buy

I've always loved 20" tires, and right now that's all I own, but I recently found out that 22" tires are much better for some sand conditions. I've never had a complaint with my 20x10x10 - 10 paddle haulers until I road St. Anthony's dunes last month - sand is so soft and loose that the flotation of a 22" is a must. And the 10 paddle 20" puts the paddles so close together that the heavier sands really bog them and holeshots suck, even on my built up motor. I didn't have any problems getting stuck at all, and there wasn't anything I couldn't climb, but I could've climbed faster like my buddies with 22" tires if I wasn't digging in so deep with the 20's.
For all around anywhere sand tires that will not let you down wherever you go, get 22" either Hauler or Edge depending on your ride/play preference, but don't get over 9 paddles unless you are a super big bore.

i run 20" 8 paddle haulers on my DS, and 15t front sproket and works great for me.. i do want to buy a set of sand skat 2's though cause i hear nothing but great things about them.. i would never run anything but 20" tires or maybe 18's(not on sand).. i paid over $1500 in Zero Preload shocks to lower my bike 4", im not about to raise it back up 1" in the back.. however if drag racing is your thing, as it is not my boat, than the taller the tire, the deeper it will dig and hook up before your swingarm just becomes a sled.
