I wieghed my axel, and If I can remember correctly it wieghed in at around 20 lbs. +/- a pound.

You can realistically get the DS below 400lbs, but it WILL cost you.

Bigger.

TVI makes a Aluminum swingarm! The TBR swingarm is also nice its not as light but I am sure its stronger.

is there any aftermarket frames that you can buy for the ds, and exactly how much lbs are you looking to shave off? It sounds like you might be better off buying a bike that was built for your riding (YFZ450, trx450r, 250r).buy a lighter bike and put the extra $$$ into making it faster. just a thought.

my goal is to make the DS ATLEAST as light as a raptor.
I know i could get a lighter bike but there is no challenge in that. This is much more fun.
Also 650's race in a different class than 450's so the lighter the better....

Thanks

the cost of shaving a few pounds off a ds, makes my 760 kit seem cheap. 70plus hp makes mine feel alot lighter
