well got the new head light yesterday it is lighter by far. one thing to check on is it looks like there will need to be a mounting kit there is two mounting locations on the bottom. well it got here for about 60 bucks it looks good, oh and the plug is different. there is two little posts on the black trim plate looks like you'll need to drill two holes in the nose plastic. anyways i think i'll be pretty happy.

Was looking at the new one at the dealer the other day. Looks like they use the same front plastic for the quads but have an additional piece that goes in around the light to close it up a little (new light must be smaller.) Wonder if this plastic piece would require drilling???

well the nose plastic is off and the light is set up there, the wiring i haven't even checked into yet thinking of making some small wire jumpers i think i can find the pins and clips easy enough i don't like the idea of slicing since i ride at the coast. the mounting will take a little thinking i can make some l brackets but would rather get a mounting kit if possible. the plastic trim piece is going to have a nice effect on the front or i think it will, there is going to be a couple of hole drillrd for alignment but easy enough. well i will have this done before next week so i'll let you how it turns out.
