Do you ride in the sand? If so, I would recommend NOTHING and maybe some WD-40 to clean the chain. Wipe it off afterwards. Chain wax, chain oil, chain lube, Synthetic-expensive-Sidewinder-idiot-oil are all bad. If you have a sealed chain, you'll be fine. If you use oil of anykind, the sand will stick to it and cause greater wear than if you had nothing on it. Just my two cents.

BelRay SuperClean chain lube - I've used everything and this is what I stuck with. clean, does not sling all over back of motor, does not collect crap.
Some people think o-ring chains need no lube but this is wrong. of course it needs it to keep from rusting, but you also need to lube the rollers and pins they roll on. sure the orings keep permanent lube between the link plates, but this does nothing for the rollers and pins - they do roll just a bit as they come into mesh with the sprockets.

Pro Honda chain lube!
i got some PJ1 awhile back and had to take what didnt fly off with a brush. i'm impresssed!
i cant get the black stuff off my quad - its nasty!
honda chemicals work great, and if your local bike dealer is too pricey, you can get the same stuff from the Honda car dealer.
worth checking out. i buy the stuff by the case from the car dealer.
