Well today i decided to go for alittle ride by myself. I was gonna go play in a pit and on the way there theres this hill called the mankiller. You can either ride up it or go around it. I usually only go up it if i have a buddy with me for safety reasons, just cuz its pretty steep, rutted, trees on both sides and tall. So i decided to take the little trail to the side of it thats alot less steep. I was crankin up it in third gear and swerved to miss a log that was in the middle of the trail. Well what i didnt see on the other side was another big log covered by ferns. I smashed it with the front left tire, got cocked sideways and went flying off. I got the wind knocked out of me and a few scratches and that was it. My tie rod now looks like a boomerang and my rim is pretty bent up. I remember a website that has all the stock items for the DS but just cant remember it. Anyone know which one im talking about. Im gonna call my dealer and compare prices to that site. Im guessing you gotta get both tie rods, or can you just order one? Now that i got my first lil accident outta the way, ill learn from it and ride faster!! I live dead smack in the middle of the UP. Theres alot of trails, mainly because its snowmobile country but man theyre in terrible shape. Every trail seems like the whoop section in a motocross race. Id like to do some traveling and check out some trails either downstate or in wisconsin but ive been working alot lately. Maybe next summer ill get to do that.
