I just got my 15 tooth front sprocket in today. How much will it bog in a 3rd gear launch?

Traction is everything with the DS, specially with a 15t front... i get beat all the time cause im in 5th gear doing about 30mph while the rear wheels are turning 70mph....while my friends stock 400z puts more traction down and is out in front... he loves it till we run on pavement or sand with paddles, than i spank him.....the DS has a forward center of gravity so you need to get your weight back on the rear wheels to get traction.. if was racing on grass id find the knarliest set of mud type terrain to really leave ruts on takeoff...more traction more acceleration!!

Turftamers with every other row cut out are the best i've seen on grass.

MAXXIS 4-snows work great for grass and dirt drags!! and they are pretty cheap also. Go to any "dirt/Grass" drag website, and your notice all the quads have on these tires. The holeshots should work nicely also. I personally thiink you need to add about 6 diskes to your pipe, and possibly re-jet. You will want to strap the front end down(about half way) , and take ALL the preload out of your rear shock to get much better lauch, and acceleration.

Your gearing should be good, and you should take off in 2nd on th revlimiter, and then shortshift to 3rd, running it all the way out , then shfting to 4th to finish the drag.

The MOST important thing in a 300ft. race in HOLESHOT!! if you spend the time to practice your launch with your front strapped , you should be able to find a nice spot on the seat you can lauch full throttle from.

Bigger.

I had the best time The drags were on dirt. I was in a 500 to 700 class. I got third Not bad for my first time There was about 20 quads in that class I also got third in my hair scrambler 400 and up. 40 people in that class
