As larry said his quad is pulling a 2001 Raptor problem on him, well almost. My quad is in tip top shape, getting the oil tank re welded around the base to cure a leak. The blue rappy is under the weather with another of the dreaded Raptor problems, it's in need of a one way bearing. I should have it up and running in a couple weeks. Looks like late August or early Sept will be the next time Ill be able to get out and play. Sounds like a great time though. Enjoy and stay safe.

You have probably heard of the new (updated) shift fork you should get as well as the suggestion of undercutting (and even kryo treating) your gears?

If so great and maybe someone else is seeing the same issue. If not, let me know if you need any additional information.

Also, try not to wait too long to get it fixed. Right now it is probably just a $50 shift fork that is bent but, in a very short time you will need a new second gear! Unfortunately the labor on this job is what is killer!

There is a guy up here in the Sacramento area that has done the tear-down / build on a number of quads (Jeffnrivercity, CapcityDS, AZSAND, etc.) He is pretty reasonable on price and knows where to send things to get the specialized work done. Let me know if you need any help (except with the $$$ as I need some more engine parts too [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img])

I finally got that turbo to spool up and am getting 45-50 on the small hill in reverse in 4wd.
afraid to hit the nitros while in reverse, but maybe this weekend

Raptor03, did you get your tires and carbs yet???

if i make it down there i will be alot more prepped than i was before, be prepared LOL i may sneak up on everybody and hammer drop.
this time i will have:

the right gearing
the right fuel=stanky
valve adjustment
the right paddles for wet sand
35 shot of nos
tripple buffs all around

 

I just got a new whip today with tony and will be dynoing it with the new whip on tomorrow.
we expect big numbers from this whip
