is it possible to run an electric coolant temp guage off of one of the factory coolant temp sensors?

no, the factory "sensor" is acutally just a switch for the red light, for a gauge you need an actual sensor with varying voltage for varying temps. there are kits that come with the guage and sensor that some guys ahve used on their DS's.

i've got an autometer sport comp 2 1/16" water temp guage in my dash, i took out the sensor for the redlight, and after using some fittings used the sensor that autometer supplies, works and looks good
