Default Cutting the slide spring ????

Oldman is right on your idle/lowspeed cutting out problem. The air intake mods(yes the one between the filter and the carb) will not effect low/mid speed rpm's but when the quad is under LOAD from 5000 to 8000 the soft rubber it is made out of can start collapsing. 2 or 3 large radiator clamps spaced about 3" apart will keep the intake ROUND and prevent it from collapsing. You may or may not notice a difference with this mod, but it has been proven to add about 1 hp on the Dyno.

If it were my quad I would cut out the whole airbox, just leaving enough material to hang the filter from. That Big K&N out in the OPEN, with the intake tube should be the ultimate in Air velocity!! IMO.

When I get the carb. mods taken care of I will most likely have some q's about jetting and will be thankfull for all those that are willing to give tips. for the past few days I was unable to get the forums to come up. so sorry for the belated THANKS !!!

Thanks again,
