He definately made it out to be something it was not for sure!! no timers, no orginizational skills, it was really one big f@cking joke if you asked me! No where in any of mr.meaner posts did it say come on guys drive 4hrs one way to pay 90$ for four people too get in and two people too race. we pulled up to the gate and the lady said 70 dollars please@ 15$ a head plus 5$ a bike. then you had too pay 10$ a bike too enter the drags!!! it was a joke plain and simple!! if you go to any actual track they dont even charge too get in, they just charge too race.(atoka,texas sand drags, etc). for the 90 dollars we spent getting in there plus the 60 something in gas we could have drovefrom texas to glamis damn near and all of us would have just paid ten dollars a day for the whole group to get in. sorry to be to honest here but i wont be back. I was really not happy about the comment made by a certain forum member saying "hurry up and get steve(dsmike)back here maybee he will blow it up". that was down right stupid comment. steve has a lot of money and time invested in his bike, there wasent a bike there within 10+bike lenghts of him when it would leave out of the hole and not bog.(two blown base gaskets, no cool down time before next pass).[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]:frown

 

Wow Ive been out of town for 2 days and what a mess. Okay where should I begin or should I even try. First of all I know the good things outway the bad for most. I will try to address all the comments good or BAD. First Im glad for the turnout. Nice to see guys from the forums and from far away. I want to say that I thought the prices to get in were high and I approached the owner and he said it was because of the cross country sanctioned race. I as well was not pleased with the track. I had not seen it in a while because of the long time periods between races but hey what do you do. 401 nice Polaris, real nice. Countryjoe your a class act as always and sorry about the reeds. Dollar your sh-t is always soooo fast. Very impressive and your the man as far as I see it on a 4stroke. Now let me try to explain for you who dont get it one more time. Every class but the last class had a desent amount of riders. 6 or more with the exception of the minis. Its 2 out of 3 with a lane switch everytime. I feel like all the classes were run fair and as evenly classed as I could tell going by the info I was given. I did make one misstake advantage (Roostin). Nobody that ran a stock bike cried about your Banshee being on race gas or having a stretched swingarm. Im cool with that. Maybe I should have put you in our class.You are fast enough. Next.......

 

The banshee roostin was riding was not on race gas. I don't even understand how the classes were picked, nobody asked about mods or cc's during sign up, just what type of quad you had. It seems to me that somebody just decided they knew what every quad there had done to it.

 

Thats nice. next the last class had 4 quads and I thought you should all have to race each other. Before the last race steve said he didnt understand it so I tried to explain. He finally said he would race if he had time to cool and I agreed. Dispite what you guys say or think I didnt want his or anyones bike to blow up. And RaptorRCR I went to you and said at the end of the event that I didnt mean to make anyone mad cause trouble and you said there was no problem and shook my hand. So whats up with the comments now? As long as we are getting crappy about it. You think you had every 2 stroke covered. Thats funny and you couldnt hit 70 in 300ft if you had a rocket in your a$$. RAPTORridrtx you gotta fast bike and Im sorry you didnt have a good time. I dont think the races were inconsistant I just felt the last class everyone was waiting for would be better if everyone raced everyone. There were only 4 quads. No its may not be what your used to but I did what I thought would make the event the best it could be and if thats wrong well Im wrong but I take offense that you guys saying I tried to screw you. The comment about the mysterious red light coming on everytime Chris and Ryan raced is so stupid. Banshee98 I guess I some how made it come on. Well Im done with this I hope and to the ones who had a good time Ill see you again. To the ones that didnt well nothing I can say will fix that but I do hope you let this go and move on.

 

To be honest, I think dollarbillz and I should have been in the last class..due to engine size, nitrous, etc. We brought three different bikes(gas 686, alcohol 727, 686 on alcohol + nitrous) for three different classes and somehow all got thrown into the same class.
As for the banshee roostinonyou was riding...I dont see why it would need race gas since it has piston slap and 100 psi of compression.

 

For your info Roostin came to me and told me his was stock. Ask him. I dont want this to be another feud that never ends. So Im saying Im sorry for the problems. Man I do really agree that that is way to high. I only knew of the prices went a buddy of mine told me at the races. I will also tell you I would rather go to ET sand drags. I started this thing because the local guys, myself included wanted to get other people involved. Not to screw anyone or brake the bank. The owner has been telling us for the past year that if we could get more racers to come he wold expand to a better spot. make a real nice strip with the works so I just tried to help make a good event.

 

You know if I had put you in the last class and you had gotten spanked (and yes you would have gotten spanked RCR) you would have cried about that also. So you know I cant win. I mean I put myself in your class with a stock bore 650 but just like Dollar says race what you brought and thats racing. I GOT SPANKED AND I AINT CRYIN. Could you have classed me different. I wasnt going to race in the stock class while Im a stage 2 on alky but there was no one in between. See I just wanted to race. Im sure I would be more dissapointed if I had driven as far as you guys so I will say one more time because I do feel bad about the amount you guys had to pay that Im sorry.

 

Mrmeaner...yeah I shook your hand and said 'dont worry about it' ..why? I didnt know what you said about steve until after everything was said and done. That's why I didnt see it as a big deal and said dont worry about it. And you can say you didnt mean it etc etc, it doesnt matter, it was said and you got caught saying it. Jokingly or not, that is a crappy thing to say.
About my bike not going 70 in 300 ft, you're probably right, it will never see 70. But from the looks of it on sunday, everyone was racing PAST the 300' mark to the guy with the flag? Id say we were all damn near 70mph when we all involuntarily entered the cross country race that was going on.

But enough of this bs, I had a good time regardless, got to race some fast bikes, and got the crap beat out of me racing in the grass field because of my struts LOL
