Well I also cut my slide spring and it did help out throttle responce BUT it caused me to run way rich!! I'm down to a 165 DJ main and I'm still running rich from 1/4 throttle to full throttle so I think I will be going back to an untampered spring.... Drilling the vacume ports I believe helped quite a bit though...

I'd say search on E-Bay for a used TM carb...(No, not a lectron [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img], first off you probably won't find any)...TM carbs are VERY popular on Harley's and you can probably get one cheap. Then all you'll need is to rejet and get a soft throttle spring from RWR if you want to use thumb... You will really see a difference in performance over the stock carb...Dynoes have showed around 3-5 HP increase over stock...
Other than that, don't waste your money on a jet kit..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
