Default Outlander Modifications PLEASE!

I have been all over the internet and there just isn't a darn thing out there that provides good information about producing more power out of the Outlander 400.

Does anyone know of anything other than wheels and tires that are being done to these things? I love my Outlanders, but I wouldn't mind a little more reaction to the throttle.

It's strange and frustrating. Cylinder head cutting... after market pipe..... rocket boosters... some flippin thing would be nice. Well, I shouldn't complain.. I have cool wheels and tires.. not to mention the matching outlander rear bags. (sarcasm).

why are they so hard to modify...arent all 4 stroke engines the same, just 4x4's are geared lower...?

Powerstroke:

Sorry, but I haven't gotten to that yet. I will go out right now and snap a few for you. My digital camera is at the office, so I will use a standard one. Off to the developer as well tonight, so I'll get them to you soon.

One would think that the 4 sroke engine here isn't that big of a deal to modify... The aftermarket folks just don't seem to be producing the pipes and stuff for this unit. ITP, for example, doesn't even have the hub cap for the Outlander.. even though you can use the C series wheels. The cap however, does not work for the outlander layout. This was the ATV of the year for 2003. One would think that a few have been sold.. and a few of us are interested in making them even more enjoyable?

Who knows.. I'm going to put some pressure on my dealer to see if they can come up with some suggestions.

Just be patient. The after market companies normally only make mods for brands that have the majority of the market share. Look at the DS650 and how long it took to get mods for it. (2 years?)
Some of the after market co.'s had stuff out for the raptor before it was even 6 months old!

Powerstroke01 ~ Bomb has a three step process to fix the scratches on the Outlander's plastic.

KazViking ~ There are some performance tweaks for the 'Landers, but you need to search around the 'Net to find them.

Cheers,
