Default Raptor doing 6.86 in the 1/8th?

A guy that got some parts for his 727 Raptor from the ATV shop I hang with claims he is running 7.50's in the 1/8th mile with out NOS AND 6.86's in the 1/8th mile with a 30 HP shot of NOS. Does this sound right to any of you. I know NOS will turn one on if set up right but a 30 shot picking up a bike about 6/10th's is a lot. Tell me what yall think! Slim

No way a 30hp shot picks up that much in the 1/4, much less the 1/8! I've run a 40hp shot on a GSXR1000 and 'only' picked up 2-3 tenths in the 1/4(a little over 1 tenth in the 1/8). Picked up a little over 3 mph in the 1/8 and 8 in the 1/4. I personally don't believe the 6.86 anyway. That would be a 10.5-10.8 in the 1/4. I've never seen nor heard of a quad run'n that fast. The 7.5 is impressive enough(with the 30hp shot). Thats a fast quad...

A couple of the Banshees that runs with our group can do the 1/8th in the 6.2's without the NOS BUT I had never seen or heard of a thumper doing the 1/8th in the 6.'s as far as RaptorS or DS'S. Hopefully I can get a chance to see this guy run and if he runs these times i'll let everyone know whether he did or did'nt. Thanks Slim

I'm not saying that they don't exist, just that i've never seen one(no biggie though, i've only seen a handful of quads dragrace anyway). Most anyting is possible with enough $$$.
I'll guarantee that it, nor any quad picked up .6 in the 1/8 with ONLY a 30hp shot! Unless of course it had SERIOUS problems before running the NOS. Of course that would have been FIXED when he ran the NOS, so the 30hp shot was not the ONLY factor...

RoostinOnYou, On the subject of the Raptors running 7.5's in the 1/8th on all motor including no fuel additives is a reality. If you ever get a chance to come to Noth Carolina i'll be glad to take you to the strips and show you and most likely we'll be in the lower numbers real soon. As far as the 8.'s in the 1/8th mile that has been done buy a Raptor with just a hotcam installed down my way. If I ever get an opportunity to be able to scan some time sheets of some runs made i'll will do it for you to see. Later Slim
