It was the exact reason I chose one. I figure if BMW uses the motor then it has to be good. Also, if you notice most of the topics on this forum are on modifications not repair. That told me there are not a lot of problems. I've had mine one year and problem free other than my own errors.

Very. I have had mine for 8 months now and all you have to remember is to do the maintenance. Also, even though no one agrees with me on this forum, run the Bombardier synthetic oil. I ran two oil changes of a high quality conventional oil to break the motor in and seat the rings, because the rings won't seat with synthetic as easily. Then I went back to the factory oil. I did this because synthetic is a much better oil and this oil was designed for Bombardier and they have not let any of us down on the rest of the quad as far as engineering goes. Even if you don't take my advise about the synthetic oil, DO NOT use just a car oil. They have friction modifiers that will not let your clutch work properly and you will be replacing it twice as often as you need to. By the way for you doubters out there, I run the factory oil and I have about 160 hours on my machine with the factory clutch. I have read a lot of post about people replacing their clutches with only 80-120hrs. on them.

Hope this helps

Just my two cents worth.
