Default Big Gun CDI

Is the Big Gun cdi good? Thinking about getting it because of the limiter. My DS has K&N filter, and looking into White Bros E series exhaust, and the Big Gun cdi, a good combo??? All input is welcomed! Thanks!

The big gun cdi seems to be a great package. It supposedly has very similar ignition curve and timing when compared to the RWR cdi. I like the fact that it does have rev limiter, I don't need more then 9000rpm from the "stock" motor. Best of all you can't beat the price, currently there is a place that has them at $205.

The one MAJOR design flaw is the way the plug is designed. Unlike the RWR cdi where the plug is easy to modify, the Big Gun cdi plug is built in to the case. This means that the Baja and Viper style plug will not work. Hopefully someone will make a "patch" cable that will allow us to use them. I doubt Big Gun will make any changes to their product, after all it took them this long to get the product out.

Maybe someone else can tell you but issues have came up before for even saying his name or business website... I don't wanna be responsible for "breaking forum rules" and getting looked down upon for it....

Is it safe to rev an internally stock DS engine to 9000 rpm? I'm thinking that a new CDI would be nice, but I do not want to do anything that might sacrifice any reliability.
