Default OOPS!!!

I know someone else posted this once before, but I'll do it again. I just changed my oil, and stupid me I got in a hurry. I drained the oil and checked the oil tank filter screen. My drain plug had very minimal shavings on it and the filter screen was almost 99% clean! Now for the stupid part. I forgot to change my oil filter. I plan on running the bike for sandfest only, and again change the oil. Do you all think it will be ok? I had just recently performed an oil change not too long ago, so this might have just been overkill but wanted to do it before hitting the sand.

I think you can change the filter without draining the oil...just let it sit a little...open the cap and take out the filter...

I'm pretty sure, but wait till someone else confirms it

why don't you tilt the quad to the left side (sitting on it)and change the filter this should keep you from leaking oil all over. i would make sure you change the filter before going racing.

LOL, Sandman I had actually thought about tilting it to the left side, but didn't know if that would work.

I will do that.

I always tip mine up on it's side, I can't stand the mess it makes if I don't. Don't forget to turn off the gas.
