Should I get one.....

I'm looking for you guy's opinons on a new DS650 Baja X. I would like an honest opinon on their capabilities in the dunes as well as the dirt. I'm also talking about a stock bike. I will probably add a pipe and other bolt on mods later though. The type of riding that I like to do is more fast paced with jumps, burms and off road type of riding. I will do some riding in the dunes and want to be able to climb a lot of the hills that the Raptors and some of the Banshee's do. I think that this bike should have enough power to haul me around, but that's why I'm here. I'm a taller guy a 6'6'' and 235lbs and I have a Warrior and It's just to small for me on longer rides.
Thanks in advance for your input.

The DS has dunes in it's blood man, that's what it was designed for... DS = Dune Sport.. It's the widest, most stabled and comfortable, not to mention fastest big bore stock... Go for it

Well, honestly. . . you'll love it!
(I took out my buddy a few times and let him ride my Wife's Warrior. One day I let him get on my DS. . . that week he bought a DS and hasn't looked back! He is about 6'1" and 250#s)

From your description you will fit the DS perfectly. Once you sit on one, (then later ride it) you'll understnad just what riding is meant to be - comfortable & fun! I liked my 2001 DS650 so much I bought another one two years later! Not to mention a couple of people on here who've gone so far as to purchase three DS650s - now that is just downright cool. (I'm working my way up to that but I gotta find a third person to ride the extra DS, and a place to park it.)

I think there are two quads to consider. The Baja X and the YFZ450. I think the Baja X will be better for you in the long run. There are much more aftermarket bolt on parts available for the Baja X and a rather large pool of educated people to get help from. The YFZ might be a little better in the trails though. If I were to buy another quad, it would be a tough decision. Both are excellent.
