Anyone feel like going for a day trip? I'm planning on trying out the spring cut, & all those goodies & I figure it might be fun to actually ride as well. If it is hot we can cruise up to Alamo Mt. & get the adventure pass deal going. For those who haven't rode at Alamo - it's a nice big loop around (you guessed it!) Alamo Mt. that has a lot of shade and high elevation so the temperatures are usually very kind.

30 hours might be kind of a long drive for a day trip. I don't think there is enough to see at Hungry Valley to make it even worth a week long stay, though I could be wrong. ..Now if you start planning for a Glamis trip, I think you'll be pleasantly suprised.

Where heading out to Beaumont Banning area tommorow. Its not too bad of a place to ride. Its where they have filmed much of the footage on Crusty Demons of Dirt. Its a pretty good place to ride and relativley close to home. If anyones interested let me know.

What freeways etc is it off of? How do you get to the area & all of that? Gorman is less than 30 minutes from my front door though, so it's hard to pass up.

Looks like it is going to be a Sunday trip. Where I park depends on what is going on - if I am just there by myself I'll park in the paved lot next to the ranger station off of the Gorman exit. If I'm with people, I often try to find a shaded camp site at smith forks or over by the 4x4 practice course.
