k guys, last time i wrote my ds was running like crap! I jetted it and followed the directions , did endcap mod, put on k&n filter and took airbox lid off, oh and also cut spring. My bike ran real bad, was sputtering and poping throughout the rpm range. finally got around to messing with it today and I put the lid back on, Viola runs great. Do you think the jetting is lean and maybe i need to go up on the main to run without the lid.

You should be way rich, specially by cutting that spring. I would drop down to a 180 atleast

Personally I would go with the directions that came with the endcap. I have two friends... one who has a Ron Woods stage one... the other has the end cap mod. The one with the end cap only is not all that far behind the Woods kit!!! In fact....... he may not be at all... I haven't run them yet to see.
