Some cleaning led to powder-coating....
Well it started as a good cleaning, but as soon as I got it apart, I threw them into the sand-blast cabinet then I broke out the powder coater.
So far it's just the hubs and the spindles, but it soon will be all the brake calipers, tie-rods, rims... yada yada yada....
Here's the pics:

When you have to take a vacation because you already have 60 days of it saved up.. it causes you to do some crazy things.....

WOW, looks nice. Did you use the eastwood powdercoating setup? Also did you powdercoat the hub grey or just blast it? Anyway it looks REAL nice and I may be doing the same this winter except I will be doing the frame, a-arms, swingarm etc so it may just pay off to have my local powder coat shop do the whole thing.

I have seen people use this setup along with a conventional electric oven and have great succes but you are limited to what would fit in the oven..........

Some cleaning led to powder-coating....
Powder coating setup... $59.99 (harbour freight has them on sale)
Extra oven for the garage... $50 (out of the classifieds)
The material I get from a local powder coating place 2lbs about $10
So, start up costs were about $120.00 (I already saved that amount)
I can powder coat anything that fits in the oven, only takes 20 minutes of bake time.
You don't have to use an oven either, they sell UV lights that create the heat too, so you can use that to cure the powder on larger areas....
The hubs I didn't want to dis-assemble (bearing and seals were already new). So I bought a can of Grey Hammer Paint from Lowes for $4.97. It's very tought stuff, plus it will clean up easier than the plain ole metal finish on the hubs.
