i hit it in 2nd gear about 10-15 mph, in dirt, and nothing, not even a scratch, and i wheelie alot! btw i also bought the grab bar to use as a wheelie bar, i dont see any harm in that, as far as i'm concernd thats its job....... i have the standard one btw

 

yea i have the same grab bar as u and i have smashed it up in third and forth gear wheelies on the street and it never broke on me . but i have grinded most of the bar away from draggin it down the street .


i would say call the company from what i have seen with my grab bar .. there very strong and well built .

I have outfitted my 250R and Scrambler with the full PRM treatment; skids, a-arm guards, etc, and I raced my 250R in many cross-country races, and have yet to have a problem. Did the weld break? Was it the actual aluminum? It is possible to have a bad weld or even a weakened piece of aluminum, but not too likely.

 

Mine has been on its *** a lot. Its went end over end and only cracked by one bolt hole.

 

I think he must have had a defective product..

 

How about a picture of that broken rear grab bar? That would say a lot about how it happened.

The guys actually did what the topic was about and tell me about there experiences thank you.

Im gonna give them a call tommorow and talk to them and see what they can do for me.

I dont hate RPM I was just really dissapointed had'nt riding in weeks because I didnt have a bar.
I get it and the first day Im on it it breaks! You cant tell me you wouldnt get pissed to.

Ive also take close looks at the bar and it seems like there may have been some weakness in the metal considering the way it broke.

OK maybe I was wrong in assuming that it was your fault ans not the products. It seems many more riders have "punished" there PRM grab bar worse then you without breaking it.

 

No problem with the Baja grab bar. You did write PRM sucks didnt you?

 

I have a bent PRM grab bar. It has taken a lot of hard hits, just that one third gear wheelie on hard dirt did it in. I think it's way stronger than stock, and if yours wasn't, there must have been a defect in the metal.
