Rev Limiter

With that thought in mind, from the Ron Woods's rotax.net web page:
"the rev limiter is eliminated giving another 1000 rpm to the rev range."
This leads me to believe one of two things -
1) that their still is a rev limiter, just at 8900 RPM vice 7900
or
2) the engine "blows up" around 8900 RPM
So which is it? Or is Ron Woods Website wrong?

i have a ron woods cdi on both my ds's mine see's 9500 a lot, kind of fades out at 9700, but not so fast that it hasn't seen 10500 several times, startes right back up so i don't think they blow at 8900. the wifes goes 9000, not that there much need to go there about 7800 to 8000 on hers. the woods is a good cdi, graydon has one with a limiter. but there are other choices now there is the vortex, and i think you can do anything you want with those. and now there is a msd and that might be the new hot ticket i plan to find out

There is a company that makes a Rev limiter that you can install with you RWR box or any other box that doesn't have a Limiter already built in. I have seen them as low as $69.00 on the net. they are fully adjustable from 6000 to 12,500 RPM. They are made by Dyna. I will be getting one real soon for my quad, because after a $1000.00 in motor work I think it is sure stupidity not to have one installed.
