Your best bet is to do a search on this forum for jetting or carb and you will get all the answers you will need.

Default jet kit questions

When i jetted mine it actually started better, I think just because i played with the air/fuel screw. The pilot jet helps with starting, but i dont think many jet kits have that type of jet.. i think you have to order that one seperate (someone correct me if im wrong).

You can do it yourself. I had no clue how to adjust my carb at first but i didnt have a problem with it. Just take your time, plus theres alot of ppl on here that can help you if you need it. ( there lots of recent posts about how to jet on here too)

You dont really need to match your jettting to your pipe, well sorta. Some pipes flow better then others, just play around with the jets and youll find the right one.

I think the DS is pretty choked up stock. Pipe, filter and jets really help alot.

You may wanna consider a higher CDI if you want to get more REV's since youll be dragging. The stock rev limiter works for for trail riding. I only bump it when im racing someone which i dont do often.

Im not a pro or anything when it come to tuning the stock carb, but i can get you on the right track.. PM me if you need more help when it comes time to rejet.
