I ordered my oil sending unit three weeks ago and called this past friday for the millionth time, and they finally told me that it is on back order and will not be in until the middle of OCT. This is after for two weeks they told me that it was on the way.

I had plans to go riding this weekend too. So what do I do head over to the local hot rod shop and pick up a white face Auto Meter oil pressure gauge NICE. I of course got ripped off but I didn't care I haven't riden the beast in three weeks because of the red light always being on.

So I slapped it in Satday and we were off riding on Sunday. I love being able to what's going on down below while your rideing.I mounted it right next to the tach I just had to relocate the nutreal and temp/oil light it looks awsome will post some pics soon.

Any way to get factory parts and not go through the local dealer?

If Bomb's parts system is set up lik ethe big "4", then the lazy parts guy could have checked too see if the part was actually in stock before ordering. Just takes a couple of minutes and they do not wanna do it for you......next time, ask him too see if it's actually in stock. A "yes" without checking or "should be" does not cut it.

 

Good. I $hit canned both the oil press and temp senders/ idiot lights in favor of guages. Now I know how my quad is running at all times. I too lost riding time due to the red light being stuck on.

 

the only thing that this dealer carries is oil it seems like the don't stock crap. there a honda dealer to begin with,,,,DSJOBBER where did you get your temp gauge? is it an inline?

 

try tvi they carry a lot of parts should have that in stock.
