500' dirt drags?
Well would have replied back sooner but my internet was down. Well here goes. I ended up getting second, my time was 7.932 and the 727 raptor ran a 7.864. At least the raptor i lost to was a good friend of mine. Cant get to much closer than that. I know my jetting was rich because it was a little rich where i live and im at 3200 feet and the races were at 5200 feet. The track was pretty tacky and the tires hooked up pretty well. The track was also about a 3% uphill grade. Well it looks like i need to compensate for the weight difference between me and my friend and what better way to do that than make more power. I think its time the old ds got drunk and maybe even a little silly, if you know what i mean! I hate to loose even to a friend! The gear that seem to work the best was the 16. Never got to try the 17 but got to try the 14, 15 and 16. There were a few fast banshees there and a fast lt 500. Next year i will be more prepared and hopefully come home the winner. It was alot of fun and i think im hooked on drag raceing. Man there were some bada$$ snowmobiles there. Like 300 hp sleds with nitromethane motors on nos! Its pretty cool to see a sled do a 500 ft wheelie all the way down the track!

Great job!
I do believe 4-snows would have made up the difference between you and your Buddy. Because the 4-snow tires "grow" from 22" to around 26" tall as you go faster ,you can run lower gearing on your quad, and still have a great top-end mph.
Also , I think you will like Alky
