talked to gary today i guess msd finally got that cdi for the ds done. i plan on getting one, but can't ride for another month so come on azsand get one and let us know how it works.

where can I get one... I have an MSD ignition on my trans am and I love it...

 

tvi is where there at. they should be good for the nos guys looks to be about the same price as the vortex

 

Do you have any details on the MSD setup? Is it programable like the Vortex? Does it need to be sent in to be changed? Different settings on the fly? Is it just the CDI or does it have different "coils"?

 

From what Gary has told me the MSD has one big coil with 4 times the output of stock. New wires also. Dip switches are under the seat so you can set your curves. Different Rev. limiters and he said something about a race Rev limit set at 6000RPM for take offs. He told me last week that it was about $100 more than the vortex. After talking with russell karting I went with the vortex. After my dyno runs on the new TVI 720 Russel karting will reprogram the Vortex using the dyno sheets. Call them they seem to know a lot about the vortex and all systems.

 

MSD BOX IS TOLDLY PROGRAMABLE .HAS 16 DIP SWITCHES ON BACK OF BOX. YOU SET THE REV LIMITER,THE RATE OF ADVANCE,THE TOTAL ADVANCE AS WELL AS -2 AT HI-RPM FOR NOS .HAS PRO-START REV LIMITER.USES A SINGLE 42,000 VOLT COIL WITH 2 PLUG WIRES. TVI IS SELLING THEM FOR $399.00

J/K Just having fun hows it going gasser!! tell me more can i swith on the fly so i can say Take off out of the hole @+2 and after the whoops when the powerjets gets kick in and im feeding twice as much nitro then switch to -1 to keep from poping a hole in my piston??? or perhaps i could run a tad fat and start with -1 and then as i hit the hill switch to +1 to levey the hill[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] or perhaps -2 to help high compression bikes start a tad easier and them go +1 for a strong run??? Thanks for any help you can give me!!!
