Default Ds 650 vs. Raptor which is better?

I was thinking about selling my raptor for a YFZ or a DS. Should I buy the DS? Which is more reliable?

We wont know about the YFZ for some time, as far as reliabilty . but so far I think people are have no problems with them so far.

The DS is known for its Reliability, and engineering.

Bigger.

The Ds is a faster machine in drag races. Its heavier and wider so its not the best at trail riding or tracks. Though it can be used for both. As for reliablity, The Ds is a very reliable bike. I have had my Ds for 2 years the only think that I have had real trouble with is the electric fan. But there are ways around it. Other than that just minor thinks like changing lights. If you are taller or bigger than average you will love the ds. Smaller rider seem to have problems throwing the Ds around. Average rider 5'9" 185lbs. Average Ds rider 6' or taller and 220lbs or heavier. For me its the best machine out there.

Yeah at first I was thinking about getting a DS but my buddy who has a raptor says that he gets a lot of
Ds-650's in for repairs. He said something about rod bearings or bushings breaking a lot. I have no idea what he was talking about though.

Yeah I like the DS but my buddy keeps on telling me a lot of things that go wrong with the motor. I have a hard time believing him though because Rotax motors are supposed to be the most reliable.

I have never heard of anyone having problems with the motor of a Ds. I think your freind is just trying to keep you away from the Ds.
