DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 12.5:1 AND 11.5:1 PISTONS WITH ALKY
#1
WOULD THERE BE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PAMI 12.5:1 OR A 11.5:1 PISTON ON A STOCK BORE DS WITH ALKY. THE PAMI WITH SHIPPING IS ABOUT 120 DOLLARS MORE THAN THE 11.5:1. IS IT WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY? DOES TVI STILL MAKE A 12.5:1? IF SO IS IT STOCK BORE AND WHAT IS THE PRICE?

I'm sure there would be more power with the 12.5:1, but since you already have the 11.5:1 I wouldn't think the gain would be that noticable.
I bought my stock bore 12.5:1 JE piston used from THEPUNISHER, maybe he could steer you in the right direction. Speaking of him, I haven't heard anything from him for a while.

There wouldn't be much difference between the 11.5 & 12:5. If your running alky try the new 14:1 or 16:1 that just came out.

what all is involved with the 14-1 in a stock engine, well i should say a stage 2 going to 14-1. seems to me the ds loves compression but , i just ride and put part together i'm not a designer.

Most of the guy's on here are much more engine smarter than me!! but i can tell each full point in compression you gain means another gear you have to try and keep the frontend down in. and if they are properly tuned the ds has no problem turning over at these compression rates!!! But don't rely on what i say because it may just equate to the amount of nitro im adding at any given rate
