DS jetting
#1
Hey guys...
My buddies have a couple of DS's that they're trying to get the jetting dialed in on. Elevation is sea level.
The first one has a FMF slip on, K&N, and no lid.
The second one has a billet endcap and K&N. This one could be with or without the lid, depending on what works.
I'm just looking for ballpark jetting to start with. Sounds like they're having trouble getting them dialed in and I'm going to help them.... I just haven't messed with DS jetting before!
Thanks for the assistance!

Thanks for all the help guys. I do have another question though.
My buddy with the DS talked to a fella that had messed around with his bike. Basically the setup was a slip on muffler, K&N with no lid, and 205 main jet. Now my guess is that the huge main was there to compensate for the no lid. My buddy said that this bike was one of the fastest DS's that he'd ever seen. If what everyone is saying about keeping the airbox with the lid on is true, why was this bike so fast?
The only thought that I had was maybe he had gone to an aftermarket carb and left this little tidbit out.
Whatcha think?
