MORE power for the DS, what can i do next? lectron?
i now have a white brothers slip on with the MBRP headers
KN filter (in airbox with lid on) and outerwear
and a jet kit...
what is next? im looking for cheap HP (i know...no such thing right?)
would the next GOOD aftermarket part be a carb? what is the cost per HP compared to somthing else i should do? (and no im not going to drop a crotch rocket engine in here )
i just cant stand those little yfz's! quick little guys...
thanks guys

ya i was thinking big gun cdi or POSSIBLY vortex (400 is a big hit on the wallet....)
besides the obvious higher rev limit is there any power gain? (with vortex being adjustable power bands?)
what would i be looking at to pay if i got a new carb? i know i have a few options...whats cheapest, most effective?

Well a CDI is cheap compaired to a lectron setup..
Your looking at 650 for the carb and intake. Then another 30-60 depending on the cabling you use as in twist or thumb. I would get the Ronwoods CDI, its nice and cheap. Been around and its been proven.
You can get the CDI and a smaller front sprocket, you will still have the same top as you can spin the motor faster but you have more low end with the sprocket.
You do know that the CDI leads to valve springs and that leads to cams and those lead to pistons and then your broke like the rest of us trying to get enough couch money to have misterHP port our heads....

lol CRAP! money money money...im only 17...and i have some seriously expensive hobbies for NOT having a job... (my 96dodge ram which i might be trying to trade in for a 2000 or so 4x4 dakota) paintball (im selling my equipment because its so not worth the 100 plus bucks to play every time) hunting/fishing (dont want to mention how much those setups were..) radio control cars (also in the thousands...) then the quad! its funny how its ALWAYS MORE POWER!
hmmm maybe ill skip the carb idea....
why ron woods cdi? you say cheap, but isnt it 300? and it totally eliminates the rev limiter dosnt it? (i would kind of like to still have a rev limiter...because i dont have a kill switch, and def dont have the cash to pop a new rotax in the ds if somthing were to happen)
