Default Bike is spitting and sputtering

My battery has gone completely dead and wont hold a charge.

I remember awhile back some one talking about that the battery was the problem for the spitting and sputtering. If I push start it right now thats what it does. My query is why would the battery cause this?

Also where is the best place to get t-stats (thermostats). My is having problems is over heating badly.

Thanks guys

Default Bike is spitting and sputtering

Our CDI ignitions just won't run without a good battery. The old days of magneto ignitions, where no battery is needed are gone. Some of these new racers may be set up to run with no battery, kickstart jobs like the new Honda or MX dirtbikes. I don't know if the new Yamaha can run without a battery once it is converted to kickstart, probably...
