my new ds650 baja x vs my buddys 04 raptor he has a R4 silencer and a filter i am complety stock does anyone no who would win it

In a 1/8th mile race I would have to say the X would win. Even if he takes you off the line You will still have the topend to catch him , if his gearing is stock.

 

I would think that the rappy would pull you a lil harder through the gears.......but you should have him on top..........

 

1-3 the rappy after that ds all the way..

 

The better rider. Coming off the line on asphalt is tricky. If you are even or close you should be able to take him. Make sure to pay attention to how much you rev each gear because his bike will be loud with an R4. Dont shift late or it will slow you.

Your 04' X is a wheelie monster, Change your gearing in the front to a 17T and you will be able to launch harder and faster without a violent wheelie. Then you won't be playing catch up and will pull him before the top end. Otherwise you have to launch a lot softer and will be playing catch up until the end. The 17T will also give you a top speed of 82mph. You will be ahead of him as you shift into third gear (if you do your part) and will STEADILY pull away from him. He won't know what hit him.

 

I have a bone stock 04 Baja X, and a buddy of mine has a 01 Raptor with a K&N and silencer modded and I've never had a close race with him. I always win and he is the better rider. The Baja X is the king of drags(not taking anything away from the Raptor).
