well I dont know how a raptor stacks up against other quads but I took my DS to the track 2 weeks ago and ran a 9.60.. witch I thought was very impressive and so did the spectators watching.... there was a predator there running 10.1s that is like 5-6 lengths behind me... i have a 2000 its just got an end cap and K&N stage 3 jetkit...

I HAVE BEEN TO THE 1/8TH MILE TWICE AND BOTH TIMES I MANAGED TO SQUEEZE OUT AN 8.95 AT 72MPH

RANDY HOOVER (AKA HOOVER7) RAN A 9.30 AT 69 MPH WITH HIS PIPE AND JETTED DS

does locking your front end down like that help it keep from wheeling?? I had to really baby it out of the hole becuase it wanted to pull up so much... I have been thinking about getting something like that to help keep the front end down..

OH YEA THE STRUTS REALLY HELP IT MAKES THE FRONT END DRIVE INTO THE GROUND INSTEAD OF FLY TO THE SKY

JUST TAKE YOUR SHOCKS OFF USE A JACK TO LOWER THE DS UNTIL THE AARAMS ARE COMPLETEY LEVEL ALL THE WAY ACROSS AND THEN TAKE A TAPE MESURE AND MESURE FROM BOLT HOLE TO BOLT HOLE TO SEE HOW LONG TO MAKE YOU STRUT THEN MESURE THE WIDTH OF THE SHOCK MOUNT TO SEE WHAT KIND OF SQUARE TUPING YOU CAN USE

IF YOU KNOW A LOCAL MACHINE GUY THEY PROBLY HAVE SCRAPS OF THIS LYING AROUND EVERY WHERE

I'm plannin on runnin my raptor at Strugis 1/8th mile track next wednesday. I have a speedo on my quad and it maxs at 80mph wit the mods i have on a flat gravel road(stock gearing). What gearing should i run on the 1/8th soo i don't max out, also i'm prolly gonna be runnin wit a wheelie bar so i'll defientely be givin it everything i have. Thanx!

I would go with a 17T in the front and -2 teeth in the back. Your theoretical top speed for the machine with your mods should be somewhere around 100mph. Or you can try and 18T in the front and laeve the rear stock. With a wheelie bar you should be able to run 7.5 - 7.9 in the 1/8th if you do your part. Your 1/8 speed sholud be 80+ mph. Good luck!!!

Oh crap, forget everything I said. I didn't read your post as thoroughly as I should have. I assumed that you drove a DS since this is the Bomb forum. For the Raptor just raise your front 1 tooth and you will do well.

Steave02,
how do you like the dial a jet system?
did you need to buy 2 of them to work on each carb or do they sell a raptor kit w/ 2 power jets?
