I found this info in a may isue.
just went thru that issue with mine. I even took mine to an authorized dealer who jetted the bike and adjusted the carb but did not fix the problem. The problem is a loose wire on the ignition coil. The ignition coil is mounted uder the tank and the wire can been seen from the left side slightly above the rev limiter. It is a black wire and the bike will start once off but tends to act up when lightly pressing the throttle. I discovered this while installing an RPM gauge on the bike. The coils needs to be tapped in on the installation at which time I discovered the loose wire. If you cant find the wire contact RON WOODS and ask them to fax you a copy of the installation sheet for the RPM Gauge and you will find it.
