Some Pro's
power
main jet change in a minuite or less

some con's
you didn't switch to the tm45 sooner
you got the 45 now wish you had gotten the duals instead.
if you don't like the twist throttle you need to modify for the thumb

Out of all the mods i've done. The most noticeable power gain was the carb by far. I did all my mods one step at a time. I am a poor man so money is tight. It prolly cost me more to go one mod at a time, but thats the way I had to go.
I did go to carb mount filter at the same time I went to the 45. So that was two mods at once
I recently went with the stage 3 head from woods. Larger valves and port work. That made a nice improvement as well. I can now pull a hill (dumont) with a 15 tooth front drive sprocket and 42 rear That I used to have to use a 14 tooth front and 42 rear on. When I say pull I mean pull with wins. The DS can could pull these dunes with a 17 tooth front drive. Just not real fast.
You will be very happy with the 45. I have read that the 46HV Lectron is as good if not better though. Might want to do a search on that.

Bigshow, I love the tm45. It fits good, looks good, and with the stock cable, weaker spring, and no pump there is no more tension or travel than the stocker. I gained a lot of bottom and midrange power with mine. Hightower is using the pump, I rode it last week, response is incredible and is only slightly stiffer.

Golgo, All around I wouldn't trade my Baja for ANY other bike. Others may be better here or there, but as far all around I'd say nothing compares to the DS. Power, speed, stability, comfort, durability, suspension, looks, I think it has it all. (Did I leave anything out?)

Only con is fitment with the IMS tank, you need to utilize the stock tank spacers which were meant to be disgarded when using the IMS tank although you can shorten them by about 1/2 inch. This creates about a one inch gap between the tank & seat (pretty unsightly). Other than that, once you get the jetting sorted out, especially with the accel. pump activated this is a pretty good carb with power added throughout the power spread. I'll be going with the 39 duals once I bump up to 760 from 720 this winter. Anybody interested for future reference?
