Has anyone ridden at the Ne. nat'l forest outside of Halsey. How are the trails for a DS wide enough or are they more for the utility types with 4-wheel drive?

Hey Crazy:
Its a great place to ride and worth the trip. There are trails in the trees as well as out in the open prarie. You can ride all day and not be on the same trail. You can camp at the forest, who has a very nice campground or stay in local hotels. Let me know if your coming, I can help you get started

This place sounds pretty cool, but on the map Halsey kind of looks like it's in the middle of nowhere. It sounded close, but turns out that for me it's a shorter drive to the dunes in Oklahoma!

Just drop me and e-mail and I'll get you set up. I live 1 mile away and work in the forest. I ride a kodiak 400. I wanted a bomb in the worst way, but coudn't come up with the funds. I picked up this yamaha used at a good price. I love it and ride almost every day- Brad
