Cop runs into quad and Rider at Sandlake

Yep, this is no joke. I know the cop and the rider. The basic story is that the cop was on her way to a call and ran into my buddys 400EX bending the rear rim, hub, axle and ruining the tire. My buddy had to dive off the quad to avoid taking the damage himself. The bad part was the cop kept going, didnt stop - TOTAL HIT AND RUN. Because it happened at the first bowl, there were several witnesses. Even then, the cops have not lifted a finger to get the accident reported. WTF?

Sounds pretty messed up. With the witnesses, you'd need to go to the local station and file a complaint. File an accident report stating when/where it happened. They have to take responsibility for their "screw-up". They're very lucky that the atv's rider (your friend) is still around to talk about it. Don't let this go!!! I'd be on the cops like white on rice until things are squared away.

I told him he had to go down to the DMV and get a report filled out pronto. if nothing happens, he needs to get a lawyer. He also needs to see a doctor and get his medical taken care of right away.

I would definitely be on this like a Hobo on a Ham Sandwich!! Man, your buddy could say he cannot look at the dunes anymore for fear of being ran over by a cop thus he is mentally traumatized!! HYe can not even look at his quad for fear of the repressed memories!! Man, you should call Johnny Cocharane!!!LOL Seriously, your buddy is owed atleast ahhh, atleast 25 brand new performance bikes for this retards blooper!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, he's a good guy, and I doubt that he would 'work' the situation in that manner. But its pretty clear to me, that the cops are working it to thier advantage. All they have to do is fix his quad and I think he'll be happy. I think he needs to go and get checked out - The quad slammed into his leg as he was leaping out of the way. He probably won't go - I think thats a mistake.
