A few pic's of EFI project
#1
Finally got some pic's of the dual throttle bodies, ECU and fuel pump/regulator that i'll be using on the DS(hopefully). I've got them up on my page. No laughing at the zip ties holding the two throttle bodies together! I have'nt got'n around to picking the shorter bolts up yet. I'm still waiting on my head to return from being ported(porting is done, just waiting on custom valves), which is the hold up for the EFI. I'll work on fitment once the head is on, then on to wiring it all up(not too complicated). The main issue will be if the magnetic pickup on the DS will trigger the ECU.

BillDS650,
Does'nt the BMW650 use CDI? I think the passive pickup will work with the EFI unit that i'm using. Its a universal type unit. I would think that BMW built their EFI unit to specifically use it. I know i can make something work, but my goal is to use the factory type ignition so as to keep the EFI conversion simple and cheap(looks like it'll run between $500-700 total once finished. I'll have around $400 total, but i happened to have the TB, inj and rails lying around). Still, it may be worth checking into the BMW setup.
