I was cleaning my recently accquired TM 45 and was liberally spraying carb cleaner throughout and noticed some black looks crap coming off the slide, so I opened the top of the carb and sprayed all the black coating off the slide. Now the carb won't hardly slide at all. What did I spray off? was it graphite or some special lube material? Please let me know

me and duneme were talking about this several months ago and i don't know if we ever figured out what it is.

 

That goo you sprayed off is the residue from the K&N filter that you are running. The oil gets sucked into the whole body of that carb. Don't worry it will get lubed up again soon enough.
